Stony Brook, NY - Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy will be honored Sunday evening during the first annual Asian-American Cultural Festival in Stony Brook.

The festival - with two programs, from 1~5 p.m. and 5~9 p.m. - is an outgrowth of the work of the Suffolk County Asian-American Advisory Board, created by Levy in 2005 to promote cultural understanding and advocate for the Asian-American community.

"We need to remain sensitive to, and celebrate, the diversity of our various ethnic groups which make up 20 percent of our population" Levy said.
